James Holler - Founder
James Holler began his auditing career with the U.S. Military in 1983. Having been involved in security audits at more than 20 military installations, the Pentagon and other government agencies, Mr. Holler has earned a reputation in the industry as one of the most knowledgeable security experts. In 1996, Mr. Holler was tapped by Senator Daschle’s office to assist in the creation of what was to become the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act) Security Standards. In 2002, with the onset of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Mr. Holler developed the widely used product Sox-In-A-Box for companies such as Philips Electronics, Fannie Mae, General Electric, Continental Airlines, Exxon and others. In 2004, Mr. Holler developed PCI-In-A-Box that has been implemented at Sony, BMG/Columbia-House, Kaiser Permanente, G.E. Money and others.
In 2006, Mr. Holler became involved with the NERC Reliability & CIP Standards. Mr. Holler has been involved with more than 70 NERC related audits in all of the 8 regions. Mr. Holler has developed multiple training programs for companies such as Exxon/Mobil; City of Riverside, CA; National Grid; Waste-Management; PG&E; Hydro-Quebec and others. Mr. Holler has developed multiple programs associated with both the NERC Reliability Standards and CIP Standards that has assisted the Abidance Consulting clients in becoming compliant quickly, thus avoiding any sanctions that may have otherwise been levied. Chad Shipman - Senior Consultant
Chad has been involved with NERC Compliance since 2007. He has participated in numerous NERC Reliability engagements as both Consultant and Project Manager. In addition, Chad has also served as Director of Operations and Vice President of Operations for a Major NERC Compliance Consulting Firm in 2008. Chad is CVI certified.
Mary Waites - Project Manager
Mary has designed customized procedures that incorporate compliance requirements with the existing environments; Created problem and incident management solutions to facilitate NERC compliance; Developed comprehensive internal compliance programs; Designed and produced pre and post audit matrixes and narratives; Created matrixes, mapping and principal templates and documents for NERC Control Tracking, testing and verifications. Mary holds numerous degrees and is CVI certified.
Mala Chana - Project Lead
Mala works with our West Coast operations and is dedicated to creating outstanding Internal Compliance Programs as well as Business Continuity Plans for our clients. With two decades of experience, Mala has what it takes to ensure our clients are compliant at all times. Mala has also been involved with creating cross matrixes so that our clients are not doubling their efforts when it comes to their compliance efforts. Mala uses existing infrastructure, where she can, to ensure a solid compliance program company wide.
Arthur Williamson - Project Manager
Arthur has 15 years of transmission experience. Having been a key player with PG&E, Arthur brings a wealth of knowledge to any project he is on. Arthur has evaluated and audited NERC compliance programs via on-site internal audits, reviewed plant self-assessments and has assisted plants in development programs to attain compliance with the NERC and FERC rules and requirements. Arthur has conducted or been party to numerous audits in the WECC and TRE regions.
Robert Jackson - Project Manager
Robert has 24+ years of power industry experience and is a regulatory professional with heavy experience in NERC, FERC, RTO/ISO markets, EIA and selected PUC's related to energy trading. Robert is proficient in the execution of compliance and regualtory strategies in coordination with assets' management, scheduling & settlements and energy transaction systems.
